What we sharpen

Six families of blades, one workshop.

Every kind of blade has its own angle and finish. Hairdressing shears never touch the same wheel as a mower blade.

What we sharpen

Kitchen knives

The edge is redone along the full length of the blade, then polished and tested. Your knives come back sharp, with no grinder marks and no rounded tip.

  • Chef, santoku, paring and filleting knives
  • Japanese knives and asymmetric bevels
  • Ceramic blades
  • Bread knives, serrated blades and cleavers

Mower blades

A dull blade tears the grass instead of cutting it, and the lawn browns at the tips. We restore the edge, then rebalance the blade before it goes back to you.

  • Push mowers and riding mowers
  • Blades rebalanced after sharpening
  • Garden tractor blade sets
  • Brush cutters and string trimmers

Garden tools

Garden tools spend the winter in the shed and come out blunt. We give them a clean cutting angle for the season ahead.

  • Pruners, loppers and hedge shears
  • Axes, hatchets and machetes
  • Spades, round shovels and hoes
  • Hedge trimmer blades

Professional scissors

Fine blades are not treated like a kitchen knife. Each pair gets its own angle, finish and pivot adjustment, by hand when it calls for it.

  • Hairdressing and grooming shears
  • Esthetics scissors
  • Sewing and tailoring scissors
  • Pivot cleaned and reset

Ice skates

A skate blade hollowed to the right radius changes every push and every stop. The hollow is redone and the edges evened out from one skate to the other.

  • Minor, junior and adult hockey
  • Figure skating
  • Left and right edges evened out
  • Teams, schools and arenas

Window screen repair

The same mobile workshop repairs your torn or loose screens while it is already at your door for the blades.

  • Patio doors
  • Window screens
  • Mesh replaced, frame straightened
  • Done on site, in the same visit

How it works

You choose how it happens.

Four ways to hand us your blades. Take the one that gets in your way the least.

01

Home pickup and return

We pick your blades up at your door and bring them back sharpened, all year round. You move nothing.

02

Drop off at the shop

Bring your blades to the shop and pick them up ready to cut.

03

On-site service

For a batch of blades or a business, the sharpening happens right where you are. The truck runs from spring to fall; in winter, home pickup takes over.

04

Drop point or mail-in

Outside the pickup area, your blades travel by mail or through a drop point.
